Description
You will plan, design, and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures for mission-critical environments. You will lead application migrations and integrations into AWS and Azure, focusing on automation and modernization. Your work ensures adherence to DoD cloud policies, including IL5/IL6 standards, while optimizing system performance and costs. You will also troubleshoot complex virtualization systems and advise senior leadership on scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement next-generation cloud architectures with a focus on security and resiliency.
- Lead migration and re-platforming of applications into AWS and Azure environments.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cloud computing policies and STIGs using Active Directory and Group Policies.
- Conduct strategic analysis to maximize performance while minimizing operational costs.
- Troubleshoot and optimize complex cloud and virtualization systems.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or IT systems.
- AWS Cloud Engineer Certification and hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud.
- Expertise in IL5/IL6 environments and DoD security standards.
- IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or SSCP).
- Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and command-line administration.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell and Bash for automation.
- Knowledge of ITSM tools and Active Directory forests.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Skills
- Azure certifications and experience with Azure environments.
- Experience with Oracle cloud technologies.
