Description

Lead operations and cloud engineering workflows, focusing on private cloud services and infrastructure automation. You will design web services with geographically redundant setups and automate cloud platforms while maintaining security guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and build web services in the cloud with geographically redundant setups.
• Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms while maintaining security guidelines.
• Lead IT security reviews for applications identified for cloud migration.
• Manage project resources, infrastructure, and communication plans to ensure successful delivery.
• Train teams on new cloud-based initiatives and implementation processes.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience, including 3-5 years managing cloud engineering and operations teams.
• Hands-on experience with private cloud platforms such as OpenStack, vCloud Suite, or CloudStack.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix configuration management (SVN, Git) and package managers (RPM, YUM).
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, and SMTP.
• Experience designing RESTful services using JSON or XML.
• Practical experience with Docker, Rackspace, and RPC.
• Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and Oracle DB.
• Strong understanding of PMI/ITIL service management and IaaS best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud Solution or Cloud Security certifications.
