Description

You will design and implement Kubernetes-based operating environments, integrating commercial and cloud distributions into the existing ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Translate application requirements into system requirements for Kubernetes Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) platforms.
• Evaluate legacy application designs and recommend redesign changes to ensure Kubernetes CaaS functionality.
• Architect large enterprise solutions focused on cost efficiency, scaling, and availability.
• Lead problem resolution for business-impacting failures and coordinate resources across peer engineering teams to meet service level objectives.
• Share on-call and support responsibilities with core team members.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with deployment and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and OpenShift.
• 3+ years of experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience creating and maintaining GitLab CI pipelines.
• Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, and multi-tenant cloud infrastructures.
• Practical experience with the Linux kernel.
• Knowledge of API design and implementation.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic or Prometheus/Grafana.
• AWS Professional Certification.
• CKA - Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
