Description

You will design, build, and secure enterprise-scale cloud environments in Microsoft Azure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Terraform subject matter expert, designing modular, reusable codebases with strong testing and versioning.
• Build and manage infrastructure as production-grade code, integrating Terraform into Git-based workflows like GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
• Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, supporting application migrations and greenfield builds with secure, scalable architectures.
• Design secure Azure networking including VNets, routing, firewalls, and private endpoints, enforcing zero-trust patterns and private connectivity only.
• Implement Managed Identities, Entra ID RBAC, and Azure Policy to enforce least-privilege access and security guardrails.

Required Skills

• Expert-level Terraform experience, including custom modules, state management, and CI/CD integration.
• 10+ years of software engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, identity, and security best practices.
• Proficiency with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices.
• Experience designing Azure Landing Zones or equivalent cloud foundation frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Government Cloud or AWS GovCloud.
• Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, or DoD compliance frameworks.
• Kubernetes platform engineering experience with secure AKS environments.
