Description

Architect and execute cloud migration of production workloads to AWS, focusing on scalability and security.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production workloads on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) using Helm, kubectl, and ingress controllers (ALB/NGINX).
• Containerize applications using Docker, implementing multi-stage builds and image hardening.
• Troubleshoot complex networking, pod, and service issues within the EKS environment.
• Communicate technical strategies and progress clearly to stakeholders and team members.

Required Skills

• 5–6+ years of hands-on experience building and operating production workloads on AWS.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services: Elastic Beanstalk, EKS, EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically production EKS.
• Proficiency with Helm, kubectl, HPA, and ingress management.
• Solid Docker skills, including multi-stage builds and image hardening with ECR.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for in-person interviews and hybrid work (two days onsite per week).

• Local to Lansing, MI, or willing to relocate at own expense without delays.
