Description

You will monitor and provide first-response to cloud health issues impacting customer experience within a global infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maximum uptime for a global infrastructure of over 10,000 systems.
• Automate processes and build tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Coordinate operational work across teams to improve the platform with minimal impact.
• Research and troubleshoot issues ranging from single instances to cloud-wide disturbances.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system administration or operations.
• Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and day-to-day upkeep.
• Experience with scripting in Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (KVM) and troubleshooting virtual machine instances.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of deploying bare metal server racks, including PDUs, networking, and cabling.
• Understanding of basic networking and storage concepts.
• Experience with monitoring systems and incident management.
• Experience with configuration management systems and deploying to cloud environments.
