About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead and scale a globally distributed Cloud Operations and DevOps engineering team for a leading global financial enterprise.

In this role, you will oversee multi-cloud operational governance, drive continuous improvement through automation, manage major escalations, and ensure high availability, resilience, and compliance across critical cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and mentor a distributed team of engineers, handling hiring, goal setting, and performance management.
• Operational Excellence: Define and optimize Cloud Operations support models, standard operating procedures, and automated workflows.
• Service Governance & Metrics: Own operational KPIs, SLA management, executive reporting, and service performance dashboards.
• Incident & Escalation Management: Act as an escalation point to ensure rapid resolution of critical operational and infrastructure issues.
• Resilience & Continuity: Ensure platforms meet non-functional requirements (high availability, scalability, resilience) and strict Business Continuity Planning (BCP) standards.
• Security & Compliance: Maintain alignment with enterprise security frameworks, regulatory audits, and operational risk controls.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Architecture, Security, Product Management, and external cloud service providers.
• Budget & Resources: Manage operational planning, budgeting, and team resource allocation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: Proven track record as an Operations Manager or Technical Operations Manager leading engineering teams (10+ members) in enterprise environments.
• Cloud & DevOps Domain: Strong background in Cloud Operations, SRE, or DevOps practices across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Core Infrastructure & Containers: Hands-on familiarity with Cloud Networking (VPCs, SDN), IAM/RBAC, Compute, Storage, and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE).
• Delivery Pipelines: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Governance & Risk: Direct experience with enterprise risk management, audit compliance, and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
• Stakeholder & Analytical Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and translate complex metrics into executive dashboards
