Description

You will manage platform uptime and incident response for the Atlas customer base.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and detect customer-facing incidents on the Atlas platform to ensure proactive resolution.
• Diagnose live incidents to differentiate between platform issues and usage issues.
• Automate routine monitoring and troubleshooting tasks to improve system reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis after incident recovery to identify process or workflow breakdowns.
• Contribute to documentation for corner case scenarios, troubleshooting workflows, and SOPs.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
• Expertise in Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Go, Python, or Javascript.
• Experience with monitoring, system performance data collection, and analysis.
• Knowledge of database operations and core concepts.
• Expertise with networking technologies including DNS and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.
• Ability to write scripts to solve short-term systems problems.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
