Description

You will ensure uptime for the Atlas customer base by scaling operations and resolving incidents.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a global team to maintain uptime guarantees for Atlas.
• Scale the Cloud Operations Engineering team by implementing new processes and tools.
• Diagnose live incidents, distinguishing between platform and usage issues, and drive resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis after incidents to identify process or workflow breakdowns.
• Monitor and detect customer-facing incidents and assist with proactive resolution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience as a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
• Expertise in Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Go, Python, or Javascript.
• Knowledge of database operations and concepts.
• Expertise with networking technologies, including DNS and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with AWS and other Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
• Experience monitoring, collecting, and analyzing system performance data.

Preferred Skills

• Capability to write small programs or scripts to solve systems problems.
