Description

Coordinate operations to ensure uptime guarantees for the Atlas customer base.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Scale the Cloud Operations Engineering team by implementing and refining new processes and tools.
• Scope, design, and deploy systems that reduce Mean Time to Resolve for customer incidents.
• Monitor and detect emerging customer-facing incidents on the Atlas platform and assist with proactive resolution.
• Diagnose live incidents, distinguishing between platform and usage issues, and drive resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis post-incident to identify process breakdowns and necessary preventative changes.

Required Skills

• 7+ years experience as an on-call DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Operations engineer.
• Expertise in Linux system administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on system performance data and monitoring.
• Knowledge of database operations and concepts, including MongoDB.
• Expertise with networking technologies, including DNS and TCP/IP.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Ability to write small programs/scripts to solve system problems.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, Go, Python, or Javascript.
