Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, repeatable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), preferably Terraform.
Build and enforce platform guardrails to ensure consistency, security, and reliability across cloud environments.
Continuously improve existing (brownfield) systems through iterative and practical enhancements.
Apply FinOps principles to balance cost, performance, and scalability in cloud architecture decisions.
Evaluate technical trade-offs and make informed decisions between optimization, speed, and acceptable risk.
Automate repetitive operational tasks and standardize workflows to reduce manual intervention.
Contribute to defining architecture patterns, best practices, and shared platform capabilities.
Create and maintain clear documentation for systems, workflows, and engineering decisions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively to build trust and alignment.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with AWS and core cloud architecture concepts.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar tools.
Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Familiarity with modern cloud architecture patterns such as: APIs and service-based architectures, Event-driven systems, CI/CD pipelines.
Strong documentation practices and experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Deep understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, and user experience principles.
Ability to standardize and improve less mature or inconsistent environments.
