Description

You will design, build, and operate large-scale Red Hat OpenShift platforms within on-premises datacenter environments. You will partner with SRE teams to drive implementation, scaling, and operationalization of enterprise-grade infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-scale Red Hat OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and security.
• Implement cluster lifecycle management including installation, upgrades, patching, and scaling.
• Build and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, integrating with virtualization platforms like VMware.
• Provide deep Linux systems engineering support, optimizing OS configurations and resolving complex kernel and networking issues.
• Establish SLOs, monitoring, and alerting with the SRE team, driving observability and incident remediation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems engineering (RHEL preferred).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (OCP 4.x preferred).
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, networking (DNS, SDN, firewalls), and storage (SAN, NAS, CSI).
• Proven experience building infrastructure in on-prem datacenter environments.
• Proficiency with automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with GitOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for platform deployments.
• Ability to implement RBAC, security policies, and compliance controls within OpenShift.

Preferred Skills

• Red Hat certifications (RHCE, OpenShift Certification).
• Experience implementing OpenShift at enterprise scale in multi-cluster environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
