Description

You will manage network service configurations and resolve technical issues within the IBM Public Cloud environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Configure and set up network services in the IBM Public Cloud.
• Triage and solve technical issues identified through monitoring, internal testing, and external customer reports.
• Analyze and troubleshoot network connectivity and infrastructure problems.
• Maintain service availability by addressing issues from partners and customers.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in network service configuration and support.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, including Availability Zones and Regions.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and proficiency with kubectl commands.
• Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP, UDP, HTTP, and DNS.
• Experience managing subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and floating IPs.
• Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump and netcat.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Ability to interpret REST APIs and Swagger specifications.
• Experience with access control, authorization, and authentication mechanisms.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of network load balancing and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
• Familiarity with logging concepts and logDNA.
