Description

You will own detection engineering and security control validation across public cloud environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Test AWS and Azure security detection controls and provide actionable recommendations to secure cloud environments against threats.
• Design custom security detections by identifying and utilizing relevant log source types.
• Develop and implement detection content within SIEM systems to enhance organizational security posture.
• Extract emerging threats from cyber intelligence reports to create customized detection content for identified control gaps.
• Mentor and train team members by conveying complex security concepts clearly.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience testing security detection controls in AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency with MS Azure Security and AWS Security best practices.
• Extensive experience working with SIEM systems.
• Deep understanding of log source types and their application in threat detection.
• Ability to design custom detection mechanisms from raw log data.
• Experience translating cyber threat intelligence into actionable detection logic.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
