Description

You will architect and govern the security posture for cloud environments, focusing on AWS migration and data protection.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Create and document reusable security patterns and guardrails for AWS migration.
• Conduct deep-dive design reviews and service validations for applications moving to the cloud.
• Evaluate migration strategies to identify risks and implement compensating controls for data security.
• Lead threat modeling sessions with engineering teams to shift security left.
• Establish requirements and guidelines for data protection, encryption, and classification in AWS.

Required Skills

• 7+ years in Cybersecurity with a focus on Security Architecture or Cloud Engineering.
• Deep, hands-on understanding of the AWS ecosystem (IAM, VPC, Security Groups, KMS, etc.).
• Proven track record supporting cloud migration projects (on-prem to cloud or hybrid).
• Experience conducting design reviews and architectural assessments.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC2 controls.
• Proficiency with Terraform and AWS IAM.
• Experience with Splunk or similar SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline security practices.
