Description

You will own the security architecture and governance for cloud environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Define reusable security patterns and guardrails for AWS migration.
• Conduct design reviews and service validations as the final security approval gate.
• Evaluate migration strategies to identify risks and implement compensating data security controls.
• Lead threat modeling sessions with engineering teams to shift security left.
• Establish guidelines for data protection, encryption, and classification within AWS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in security architecture or cloud engineering.
• Deep, hands-on mastery of the AWS ecosystem (IAM, VPC, GuardDuty, KMS).
• Proven experience supporting cloud migration projects (on-prem to cloud or hybrid).
• Architectural competence in conducting design reviews and service configuration validation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline security practices.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC2 controls applied to cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• Experience with Palo Alto or similar security tooling.
