Description

You will own the security posture of cloud infrastructure and support application teams in securing their systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Review platform changes for infrastructure security concerns and research potential risks.
• Articulate security requirements to application teams and provide infrastructure-level support.
• Implement and manage security controls across cloud platforms including IAM, VPC Security, and KMS.
• Harden Linux environments using PAM, SELinux, SSHD, and auditd.
• Manage infrastructure via IaC and configuration management tools.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure and security.
• 8+ years of relevant security experience.
• 3+ years securing cloud platforms (IAM, VPC Security, KMS).
• 3+ years hardening Linux environments (PAM, SELinux, SSHD, auditd).
• 6+ years with Terraform or Puppet.
• Knowledge of basic cryptography and common network protocols.
• Understanding of containers and Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL and database technologies like MySQL or Snowflake.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience securing large GCP environments.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, or XDR solutions.
