Description

Secure cloud environments and infrastructure through system-level hardening and architecture oversight.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Improve the security posture of cloud environments and infrastructure.
• Respond to infrastructure security alerts and conduct investigations.
• Evaluate cloud architectures for security concerns and consult on mitigation strategies.
• Build and manage infrastructure for security-related applications and services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advocate for security improvements and design decisions.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure and security.
• 8+ years of relevant security experience, including 3+ years securing cloud platforms (IAM, VPC Security, KMS).
• 3+ years hardening Linux environments (PAM, SELinux, SSHD, auditd).
• 6+ years working with IaC or configuration management (Terraform, Puppet).
• Knowledge of basic cryptography and common network protocols.
• Understanding of containers and related technologies like Kubernetes.
• Ability to review platform changes, research security problems, and support application teams in securing systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience securing large GCP environments.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, XDR, or HIDS/NIDS tooling.
• Experience with secrets management, PKI (HashiCorp Vault), or securing databases (MySQL, Snowflake).
