Description

Split time between Linux/system-level security and cloud security operations to improve infrastructure posture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate cloud architectures for security concerns and consult on mitigation strategies.
• Respond to infrastructure security alerts and perform detailed investigations.
• Build and manage infrastructure for security-related applications and services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to advocate for security improvements and design decisions.
• Review platform changes and support application teams in securing systems.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and security.
• 5+ years of relevant security experience.
• 3+ years securing cloud platforms (IAM, VPC Security, KMS).
• 3+ years hardening Linux environments (PAM, SELinux, SSHD, auditd).
• Proficiency with Terraform and configuration management.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• Understanding of basic cryptography and common network protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience securing large GCP environments and using HashiCorp Vault.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, XDR, HIDS, or NIDS tooling.
