Description

Design and implement secure, scalable cloud-based data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the data strategy and align it with business goals.
• Design and implement cloud data architecture, including distributed computing solutions.
• Create clear visual diagrams for data flow, ER models, and system architecture.
• Optimize data systems for speed and cost by identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot data quality issues and resolve pipeline failures.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks: Spark, MapReduce, Databricks.
• Proven track record of implementing cloud-based data solutions in Azure.
• Deep understanding of data modeling for relational and non-relational databases.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
• Proficiency with diagramming tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Azure Data Lake and cloud-specific data services.
• Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop.
