Description

You will lead the architecture design and development for a major data platform modernization effort using Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end solutions including data strategy, storage, pipelines, data flow, and security policies.
• Translate business requirements into technical artifacts and extensible architecture patterns.
• Collaborate with data engineers, infrastructure specialists, and security teams to execute data strategies.
• Define data distribution and consumption patterns for downstream systems and consumers.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose corrective actions to optimize the platform.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years as an Architect for Data & Analytics solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Azure public cloud platform.
• Deep expertise in Azure Synapse, Synapse Analytics SQL Pools, and Azure SQL.
• Proficiency with ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data access patterns, virtualization, and SQL.
• Experience designing batch and streaming data loads.
• Proven track record with on-premises to Azure migration projects.
• Experience with CI/CD orchestration using Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, Jira, or Confluence.
• Expertise in data integration via APIs, Web Services, SOAP, and REST.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with metadata management and data governance tools.
