Description

You will design and implement cloud-native solutions to modernize application portfolios and optimize cloud footprints.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud-hosted solutions and develop future-state architectural diagrams to modernize aging application portfolios.
• Analyze cloud technology footprints to provide right-sizing recommendations based on cost and performance.
• Develop and implement a wide-scale data strategy, optimizing hardware and software expenditures.
• Conduct hands-on research to recommend modernization and cost optimization for the technology stack.
• Identify SaaS solutions or utilize low-code/no-code frameworks to rationalize applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with core AWS services including EC2, RDS, ELB/NLB/ALB, API Gateway, and S3.
• Experience with Cloud DevOps processes and tooling such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitHub.
• Proficiency in scripting for automation using Windows PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Working knowledge of migrating backend data sources including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT techniques and cloud-based data pipelines using AWS DMS, AWS Glue, Kafka, or MS SSIS.
• Understanding of AWS security configurations including VPC, network routing rules, security groups, and S3 bucket policies.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows stacks including MS IIS, MS SQL Server, and MS Report Server.
• Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and AWS DynamoDB.
• Competency with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Jira, and source code management tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of government security regulations and standards including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP.
• Familiarity with Salesforce application management.
