Description

Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex software systems across the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test RESTful APIs using TypeScript for external application consumption.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and custom tooling to manage GitLab repositories.
• Develop dashboards and reports to monitor development velocity and identify process bottlenecks.
• Mentor junior technical staff and provide technical direction for operational teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop application roadmaps and align integration plans with platform infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 8-12 years of software engineering and development experience.
• Advanced TypeScript expertise, including monorepo management and functional programming with Effect-TS.
• Strong backend architecture skills and RESTful API design using OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, Cassandra/Keyspaces, ELB, Secrets Manager, ACM, Route53, and IAM.
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting (Bash).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Competency with build tools such as Esbuild and Bun, and package managers like pnpm, Bun, Poetry, and Nix.
• Knowledge of observability tools including OpenTelemetry, Datadog, and Splunk.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Bun, Jest, Vitest, and FastCheck.

Preferred Skills

• Server-side experience with OAuth 2.0.
• Experience with Renovate for dependency management.
