Description

Lead cloud migration projects from on-premises SQL Server to Azure SQL with minimal downtime while managing and optimizing cloud-based database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud-based database environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery through replication, CDC, Always On, and WFC.
• Implement database security, encryption, access controls, and auditing to maintain compliance standards.
• Optimize query performance, indexing strategies, and resource utilization by proactively identifying bottlenecks.
• Automate routine administration tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL to improve operational efficiency.
• Design and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to integrate data from diverse sources.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expert knowledge of SQL and Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
• Proficiency with SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Strong experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Hands-on experience with DMVs, Query Store, and Azure Insights.
• Deep understanding of Stored Procedures, user-defined functions, and Custom Types.
• Experience implementing Always On, CDC, and database replication.
• Ability to design scalable database structures and ETL pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience conducting capacity planning, regular health checks, and system upgrades.
