Client: Morgan Stanley
Location: Seattle, WA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite/week
Duration: 12 months with potential to convert
Experience: 12+ years required
On-Call: Two-week round-robin rotation
Interview: In-person interview is mandatory

Position Overview

Morgan Stanley is looking for a strong Cloud Support Engineer who can handle both cloud support and engineering responsibilities.

This is not purely an incident/request management position. The ideal candidate should be able to support production environments, troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, and also help build, enhance and maintain cloud platforms, with a primary focus on AWS and Snowflake.

Must-Have Skills

• 12+ years of IT experience
• Strong hands-on AWS Support experience
• Hands-on Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Snowflake – 100% mandatory
• Tier 1/Tier 2 Cloud & Infrastructure Support
• Strong Incident & Request Management experience
• Experience handling dozens of incidents/requests per day
• AWS outage and incident response
• Production and development infrastructure troubleshooting
• Permissions and entitlement management
• Audit requests and application configuration support
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Self-sufficient, proactive and eager to learn/grow
• Ability to perform both Cloud Support + Cloud Engineering

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 infrastructure support for development and production teams
• Troubleshoot AWS and Snowflake infrastructure issues
• Manage incidents, service requests and escalations
• Handle permissions, access and entitlement requests
• Support audit and compliance-related requests
• Troubleshoot application configuration and infrastructure issues
• Respond to AWS outages and production incidents
• Participate in the two-week round-robin on-call rotation
• Support and enhance AWS and Snowflake cloud platforms
• Build and improve cloud platform capabilities, particularly Snowflake
• Contribute to SaaS platform initiatives supporting Microsoft specifications and AI capabilities
• Collaborate closely with development, engineering and production support teams
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement

• AI/GenAI experience
• FinTech experience
• Previous AWS/Amazon experience
• Azure experience
• Help Desk / Systems Administration background before transitioning into Cloud
• Automation and scripting experience
• Strong customer-facing support experience
