Description

You will manage and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize hybrid cloud infrastructure using IaaS and PaaS models.
• Administer SQL Server environments, including database tuning, indexing, and migration to Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) with Nerdio and Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
• Monitor systems using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics while managing security with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel.
• Lead FinOps initiatives by implementing Azure cost management best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or Cloud Systems Engineer.
• Hands-on SQL Server administration (2012 through 2022) with expertise in Always On availability groups and failover clusters.
• Experience managing SQL in on-premises, Azure SQL MI, and cloud-native Azure SQL Database environments.
• Proven experience designing and managing Azure infrastructure.
• Direct experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Windows Server administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and RDP.
• Proficiency with Azure cost management tools and FinOps practices.
• Basic Linux administration skills.
