Description

You will manage and maintain the Cloudera Hadoop infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain Hadoop clusters, including adding and removing nodes.
• Configure NameNode high availability and manage core configurations (Core-Site, HDFS-Site, YARN-Site, MapReduce-Site).
• Monitor cluster connectivity, performance, and running Hadoop jobs while reviewing log files.
• Perform capacity planning, resource management, security management, and backup/recovery tasks.
• Troubleshoot application errors and collaborate with database, network, BI, and application teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in RedHat Linux.
• Hands-on experience as a Cloudera Administrator.
• Proficiency with Cloudera, Hortonworks, or MapR distributions.
• Experience with cluster monitoring tools such as Ambari, Ganglia, or Nagios.
• Competency in configuration management and automation tools like Puppet or Chef.
• Knowledge of HDFS, Core-Site, and YARN configurations.
• Experience with Apache Pig, Apache Hive, and Apache Mahout.

Preferred Skills

• Cloudera Hadoop Admin Certification.
• Experience with performance tuning, shell scripting, Core Java, and OS process management.
