Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer with 8–10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, particularly in big data projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, HBase, Kafka, Hive, Spark, and related tools. Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java is essential.

The role also requires extensive experience building and managing data pipelines, migrations, and analytics pipelines across on-premise and cloud environments including Cloudera, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Exposure to AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and statistical modeling is highly desirable, along with strong leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain big data solutions using technologies such as Hadoop, HBase, Kafka, Hive, Spark, Scala, Python, R, TensorFlow, etc.

Develop and manage data pipelines, migrations, and analytics pipelines in on-premise and cloud environments.

Work with open-source kernels and scalable distributed architectures (compute, storage, serverless).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable and efficient data solutions.

Conduct data modeling and analysis to optimize storage and retrieval processes.

Stay updated with emerging big data technologies and integrate advancements where applicable.

Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

8–10 years of data engineering experience with a strong focus on big data.

Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.

Strong hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools.

Experience with distributed compute/storage and scalable architectures.

Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

Exposure to AI, NLP, Machine Learning, predictive modeling, and time-series analysis.

Familiarity with CI/CD practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.

Relevant certifications in big data or cloud platforms are a plus
