Description

Manage and support large-scale Cloudera Hadoop environments within an enterprise setting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Cloudera Hadoop clusters, including setup and performance tuning.
• Install, administer, and support Linux operating systems and underlying hardware.
• Automate cluster node provisioning and repetitive administrative tasks.
• Manage platform infrastructure, security configurations, and cluster availability.
• Support development and production deployments, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Cloudera Hadoop Administration.
• 3+ years of experience with the Hadoop stack and Elasticsearch.
• Strong proficiency in Linux environment administration and support.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and setting up large-scale clusters.
• Ability to support systems requiring 24x7 availability and monitoring.
• Strong scripting or software development skills for automation.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop design principles, cluster connectivity, and distributed system performance.
• Knowledge of hardware systems used in production environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Hadoop stack support run books.
