Description

Manage and maintain large-scale Cloudera Hadoop environments in an enterprise setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Cloudera Hadoop clusters, including setup and performance tuning.
• Install and administer Linux operating systems and underlying hardware.
• Automate cluster node provisioning and repetitive administrative tasks through scripting.
• Manage platform infrastructure, security configurations, and disaster recovery practices.
• Ensure cluster availability for both development and production deployments.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Cloudera Hadoop administration.
• 3+ years of experience with the Hadoop stack and Elasticsearch.
• Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems and environment support.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting large-scale clusters.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop design principles, cluster connectivity, and distributed system performance.
• Proven software development or scripting skills for automation.
• Experience supporting systems requiring 24x7 availability and monitoring.
• Knowledge of production-grade hardware systems.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
