Description

Manage and maintain large-scale Cloudera Hadoop environments in an enterprise setting.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build, support, and design Cloudera Hadoop clusters, including setup and performance tuning.
• Install and administer Linux operating systems and underlying hardware.
• Automate cluster node provisioning and repetitive administrative tasks.
• Manage platform infrastructure, security configurations, and disaster recovery practices.
• Ensure cluster availability and support both development and production deployments.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Cloudera Hadoop Administration.
• 3+ years of experience with the Hadoop stack and Elasticsearch.
• Strong proficiency in Linux environment support and administration.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and setting up large-scale clusters.
• Ability to support systems requiring 24x7 availability and monitoring.
• Strong scripting or software development skills for automation.
• Deep understanding of Hadoop design principles, connectivity, and distributed system performance.
• Knowledge of current production hardware systems.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve live system issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing Hadoop stack support run books.
