Description

You will own the deployment, configuration, and management of the Cloudera platform and its core components.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Cloudera platform (CDH/CDP) and components like HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Impala, and Kafka.
• Monitor and optimize cluster performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies for Cloudera clusters.
• Troubleshoot complex issues within the Hadoop ecosystem and its integrations.
• Automate deployment and management processes using configuration tools alongside DevOps teams.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Hadoop/Cloudera platform engineering or big data administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloudera platform (CDH/CDP) and Hadoop ecosystem.
• Expertise in HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Impala, Kafka, and YARN.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of cluster monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of security frameworks (Kerberos, Ranger, Sentry).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud deployments.
