Description

You will manage the operational performance, security, and scalability of Web.mil websites through cloud-based CDN solutions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS CloudFront and other CDN solutions to optimize content delivery.
• Configure edge caching, routing policies, SSL/TLS certificates, and web application firewalls (WAF).
• Implement high-availability, redundancy, and load-balancing strategies for large-scale cloud applications.
• Monitor network traffic and performance metrics to mitigate latency and identify bottlenecks.
• Perform cloud security assessments following DoD-mandated standards including STIGs, FedRAMP, and DISA policies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud/CDN engineering, specifically with AWS CloudFront, Akamai, or similar platforms.
• Strong expertise in AWS services including CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, WAF, Route 53, S3, EC2, and IAM.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of web security principles, OWASP Top 10, DDoS mitigation, and zero-trust architectures.
• Strong networking troubleshooting skills covering TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS.
• Experience in DevSecOps environments using CI/CD pipelines and version control like Git, GitLab, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, STIGs, and FedRAMP compliance.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
• Experience with Azure CDN, Fastly, or Akamai.
• Knowledge of media streaming (HLS, DASH) and WCAG 2.1/Section 508 compliance.
