Description

You will set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce aerospace components. You own the precision and quality of the parts you manufacture.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines based on technical drawings and written instructions.
• Execute in-process quality inspections using indicators, gages, and dial bores.
• Make program offsets on CNC machines to maintain tight tolerances.
• Identify process improvements to reduce quality variation and eliminate waste.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills.
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances within .0003 inch, including profile and roundness.
• Proficiency with indicator, gage, dial bore, and plate inspection methods.
• Experience working from technical drawings and written instructions.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder per ITAR requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within AS9100, 5S, Lean, or Six Sigma environments.
