Description

You will develop software programs to instruct CNC machines in cutting and shaping metal using CAD models and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC equipment including lathes, milling centers, and multi-axis mills.
• Analyze work orders to determine optimal manufacturing methods and machining step sequences.
• Generate setup sheets, tool lists, and determine optimal tool selection, speeds, feeds, and fixtures.
• Conduct simulation tests and perform quality testing to adjust and enhance program code.
• Collaborate with programmers, management, and machinists to address capacity planning and quality enhancement.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in CNC machining and programming.
• Proficiency in MasterCam for generating program codes.
• Experience with Creo Pro E or similar design software.
• Ability to program from CAD models and blueprints offline using CAM software.
• Strong mathematical skills in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry for dimensions, tooling, and speeds/feeds.
• Knowledge of Lean/setup reduction and mistake-proofing techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to perform standard shop computations and identify precise cutting locations.
• Competency in reading, writing, and understanding English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in macro programming.
• Familiarity with PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) methodology.
