You will develop and maintain numerical control programs for production, tooling, and manufacturing development projects.
Responsibilities
Create mathematical or graphical lines and surfaces for parts, tools, fixtures, and mockups to ensure design and aerodynamic features meet master engineering lines.
Determine efficient lofting and fabrication methods for sheet metal using numerical control tooling and standards.
Generate tooling and material sketches, NC setup sheets, dimensional charts, and machine operation diagrams.
Use mathematical formulas to compute flange setback, spring back development, form and die setups, and bend allowances.
Collaborate with engineering personnel to address design changes required to meet manufacturing standards and tolerances.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in CNC programming or related manufacturing roles.
Proficiency in CADAM, CATIA, and APT programming.
Strong grasp of manufacturing methods, procedures, and tool design.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and data planning information.
Knowledge of lofting, engineering, and planning processes.
Experience with dimensional sequencing of operations on sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Competency in math through trigonometry and analytical geometry.
