Description

You will define the long-term systems architecture for a deterministic legal execution layer, combining LLM orchestration with state machines and RAG pipelines. You own the backend, APIs, AI infrastructure, and data architecture while building the engineering team from zero to one.

Responsibilities

• Design infra abstractions for legal execution engines and constrained AI systems.
• Build production-grade multi-tenant backend systems with strong data isolation and compliance controls.
• Implement deterministic workflow engines with rollback capabilities and audit-grade logging.
• Embed AI into production systems beyond wrapper-level usage, ensuring reliability and traceability.
• Develop the engineering team and establish technical culture as a hands-on co-founder.

Required Skills

• 4+ years in deep-tech, infrastructure, or AI-first startups.
• Strong distributed systems and architecture fundamentals.
• Experience shipping LLM/RAG systems to production.
• Comfortable designing stateful workflow engines and agentic frameworks.
• Security-conscious systems thinking with experience in compliance-heavy domains.
• Hands-on engineering capability, not purely managerial.

Preferred Skills

• IIT or top US CS background.
• Experience in formal systems, deterministic design, or infra tooling.
