Description

You will manage and support COBOL-based applications on distributed Linux platforms.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain COBOL applications deployed via the Micro Focus Enterprise Product Suite on Linux.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze complex issues across the Micro Focus application stack.
  • Manage job scheduling and monitoring using Control-M.
  • Execute application builds and deployments using Jenkins.

Required Skills

  • 7+ years of experience maintaining COBOL applications on distributed platforms.
  • Proficiency with Micro Focus Enterprise Product Suite on Linux.
  • Experience with CICS Gateway, CICS, and MQ Series.
  • Hands-on experience with JCL and Stored Procedures.
  • Working knowledge of IBM DB2 UDB.
  • Experience using Control-M for job scheduling.
  • Familiarity with Open-LDAP (Micro Focus External Security Manager) for resource security.
  • Experience with Jenkins for deployment pipelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
