Description

Lead the technical modernization of the New York State Taxation and Finance Integrated Account System (IAS) in Albany, NY. You will own the System Development Life Cycle for this multi-tiered complex processing system, guiding design, development, testing, and migration from legacy mainframe platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define high-level architecture and dictate technical standards for large-scale software systems.
• Guide technical design for data conversion and coordinate solutions across various support groups.
• Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and development of technical design documents and program specifications.
• Execute coding, unit/integration testing, SQL tuning, and production support for new and existing applications.
• Mentor staff and present technical solutions to management and technical teams.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of overall experience, including 84 months with Government Taxation organizations.
• 84 months COBOL programming in IBM Mainframe environments.
• 84 months experience with IDMS and DMLO on mainframes.
• 84 months experience with APS and CICS.
• 84 months experience with IBM MQ Series.
• 36 months experience with IBM DB2 for LUW, large databases (1TB+), and XQuery.
• 84 months experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS and complex database structures.
• 84 months experience with IBM MVS JCL and TSO.
• 84 months of application performance analysis and tuning.
