Description

You will maintain and enhance critical mainframe applications, focusing on IMS, COBOL, and CICS systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance IMS mainframe applications.
• Read and analyze legacy code to understand existing business logic.
• Modify programs to meet evolving user and regulatory requirements.
• Perform debugging using File-Aid and Expediter.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Proficiency in COBOL.
• Expertise with CICS environments.
• Experience writing and managing JCL.
• Familiarity with REXX and ISPF.
• Experience using File-Aid for debugging.
• Strong understanding of business rules within legacy systems.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale government systems.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with VSAM.
