Description

• Hands-on development experience for at least 7 years into COBOL, CICS, and DB2 for both online and batch applications, including analysis, coding, unit testing, and Migration.
• Strong working knowledge of CICS application programming, including COMMAREA, CICS screens .
• Experience in developing CICS web services with SOAP/REST
• Troubleshooting skills for production/ test issues such as CICS abends,DB2 SQL errors, time outs etc.
• Experience creating/exposing APIs using IBM z/OS Connect is recommended to have

Nice-to-have (Modernization / Integration)

• MQ or other middleware platforms including COBOL copybook --> JSON mapping and service enablement of existing business logic.
• Familiar with API testing tools such as Postman/Ready API/SoapUI for request/response validation and payload troubleshooting
