Description

Maintain and enhance existing mainframe COBOL applications through technical analysis, design, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and code changes to enhance existing software applications.
• Test COBOL programs to identify errors and implement fixes for faulty code.
• Gather and document system requirements and transactional application needs.
• Fine-tune DB2 SQL queries and define coding standards to ensure code integrity.
• Document file systems and coordinate technical analysis and design tasks.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in mainframe COBOL programming.
• Strong experience with DB2 and SQL query fine-tuning.
• Proficiency in creating, executing, and debugging test cases and policies.
• Experience with Mainframe TSO.
• Hands-on experience with JCL.
• Ability to work on existing programs for client-driven updates and enhancements.
• Bachelor's degree or any graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using File-Aid and VSAM file structures.
• Experience with Abend-Aid.
