Description

You will develop, maintain, and release batch and CICS COBOL programs on IBM z/OS to support core business logic.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, modify, and create new batch COBOL programs, JCL, and reports.
• Update existing CICS COBOL programs to meet changing requirements.
• Write efficient, testable code from initial concept through testing.
• Prepare and produce software component releases.
• Investigate new technologies and present alternatives for architectural review.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in COBOL application development.
• 6+ years of experience in DB2 programming on IBM z/OS.
• 3+ years of experience participating in the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and creating SDLC artifacts.
• Strong knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL.
• Proficiency with COBOL, JCL, and IBM z/OS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VSAM, NDM, and/or DB2.
