Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe-based software applications, translating design documents into structured COBOL programs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify user data entry screens, batch processing, reports, queries, and menus.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and verify correctness against requirements.
• Identify and correct data errors through application logic and develop summary reports using IBM and Microsoft tools.
• Assist with the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proficiency with JCL development and maintenance.
• Experience with DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Knowledge of Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Postgres DB.
• Experience with Kofax.
• Full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience, including design, integration testing, and deployment.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills for non-database functions.
