Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance core mainframe applications using COBOL, translating design documents into structured code and supporting conversion to web-based systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design documents into well-structured COBOL programs for screens, batch processing, and reports.
• Maintain and enhance custom software, executing test program changes and verifying results against requirements.
• Identify and correct data errors using application logic and develop summary reports.
• Assist in the conversion of legacy COBOL applications to web-based systems.
• Prepare comprehensive program-level and user-level documentation following established code management procedures.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proven experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Solid understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug computer software.
• Strong analytical skills for data error correction and report development.
• Experience with Agile Methodology and Data Analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS.
