Description

You will develop and maintain mission-critical COBOL applications on IBM/DELL mainframes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design documents into structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain and enhance custom software, including data entry screens, batch processing, reports, and menus.
• Execute and validate program changes, managing test files and reviewing results.
• Assist in the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
• Conduct code reviews and support non-database functions by analyzing existing processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proficiency with JCL development and maintenance.
• Proven experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Solid understanding of the full SDLC, including integration testing and deployment.
• Experience preparing program-level and user-level documentation.
• Capability to follow strict code management and deployment guidelines.
• Familiarity with Java programming.
