Description

Develop and maintain mainframe applications for credit and debit card processing, including merchant billing and clearing. Own the release pipeline within a Waterfall SDLC, from high-level design through production support.

Responsibilities

• Develop program logic for new applications and modify existing logic.
• Perform tuning, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve performance issues and job abends.
• Design high-level and detailed design documents (HLD/DDD) and present them for business sign-off.
• Lead project tasks by assigning resources, delegating work, and delivering timelines and I-plans.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to manage application issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of mainframe experience with COBOL, IBM JCL, CA7, and REXX.
• Proficiency with IDMS, DB2, VSAM, and flat files.
• Experience using Endevor, EasyTrieve, File Master, Dispatch, View, UniTech, and Remedy.
• Direct experience with MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, and Diner's International merchant acquiring, settlement balancing, and error processing.
• Working knowledge of Waterfall SDLC documentation and processes.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Technical familiarity with Java and SQL.

Preferred Skills

• Functional knowledge of payment authorization, fraud detection, and smart routing applications.
• Experience with merchant acquiring systems, payment ecommerce, and payment gateways.
• Advanced degree or technology certifications.
