Description

You will develop and maintain core banking systems using COBOL while supporting production environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core systems using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Support production systems and respond to on-call needs as required.
• Mentor and coach less experienced IT staff and business managers.
• Recommend strategies for improving existing system applications and plan solution delivery.

Required Skills

• Expertise in COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Minimum 8+ years of related IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of application development technologies, tools, and methodologies.
• Experience working on moderate to complex projects within functional areas.
• Understanding of complex internal business processes or functions.
• Familiarity with Credit/Debit or Financial domain knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with IT functional and business units.

Preferred Skills

• Assembly language knowledge.
• Interest in emerging technologies.
