You will analyze business requirements, design application solutions, and maintain operational stability for mainframe systems in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Modify and enhance existing COBOL applications to improve business process efficiency.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical application designs.
• Resolve production issues affecting code modules and ensure system stability.
• Execute data cleanups derived from production data analysis.
• Manage production timelines, issue tracking, and status reporting to meet client deadlines.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience developing COBOL applications.
• Proficiency in CICS and batch processing environments.
• Strong expertise with JCL and mainframe application development.
• Experience with VSAM files and DB2 integration.
• Ability to navigate and resolve complex mainframe architecture issues.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing applications in an IBM VSE mainframe environment.
• Familiarity with stored procedures and SQL in MS SQL Server 2005 or later.
