Description

You will design, code, and maintain mainframe solutions for Long Term Care policy administration systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, document, and test COBOL/JCL/CICS/IMS solutions within an Agile team.
• Perform unit, system, and integration testing to ensure code quality and compliance.
• Analyze incidents and issues, proposing solutions and determining system impact.
• Support the Long Term Care policy administration system by monitoring, resolving failures, and maintaining peripheral interactions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, manage tickets, and contribute to change management activities.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience with mainframe technologies: COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS.
• Experience in production support, preferably within insurance or finance domains.
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex business logic and assess change impact.
• Basic experience with SQL and data analysis.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams on complex mainframe systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Good communication skills for managing stakeholders and concurrent deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Long Term Care policy administration systems.
